Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, Silver Professor of Politics at NYU and Founding Partner, Selectors, LLC (Consulting), has written or co-authored 26 books, including The Invention of Power, The Logic of Political Survival, and The Dictator's Handbook. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Council on Foreign Relations, recipient of the DMZ Peace Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship and numerous academic awards, he holds honorary degrees from the Universities of Groningen and Haifa.

Alastair Smith is the Bernhardt Denmark Chair of International Politics and Professor in the Department of Politics at New York University. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the author of five books, including The Dictator's Handbook.
