商品描述

The design and development of low radar cross section (RCS) phased array has been a challenging subject in stealth technology. The frequency selective surface elements act as absorbers in specific frequency band and facilitate gain enhancement and reduction of antenna RCS. This book presents a comprehensive EM design and analysis of such low-profile patch arrays with high impedance surface-based ground plane. It explains how to determine radiation mode RCS of low-profile antenna arrays with arbitrary configurations. Detailed descriptions of design, workflow of determining radiation and scattering behavior of antenna arrays have been supported with schematics, tables, and illustrations. Aimed at engineers and researchers for RCS, antenna engineers and graduate students in electrical engineering and electromagnetics, it

- Discusses both radiation and scattering features of both planar and conformal HIS-based low profile antennas

- Describes the theoretical background, design, simulations and analysis of low RCS phased array in detail

- Presents the physics behind the resultant radiation and scattering characteristics of designed antenna array

- Helps readers understand design and analysis of low RCS antenna array without any degradation in its radiation performance

- Includes figures, schematics and illustrations to provide comprehensive descriptions of both radiation and scattering characteristics of phased arrays of different configurations

作者簡介

Dr. Hema Singh is working as Senior Principal Scientist in Centre for Electromagnetics, National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore, India. She received Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from IIT-BHU, Varanasi India in Feb. 2000. For the period 1999-2001, she was Lecturer in Physics at P.G. College, Kashipur, Uttaranchal, India. She was a Lecturer in EEE of Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan, India, for the period 2001-2004. She joined CSIR-NAL as Scientist in January 2005. Her focus area of research is indigenous development of stealth technology, one of the critical challenges in the country's self-reliance in strategic sector.

Mr. Avinash Singh is a Ph.D. scholar in the department of Electronics and Communication of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India. He has worked as Project Assistant at the Centre for Electromagnetics (CEM) of CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore for two and half years. He has obtained integrated B.Tech. and M.Tech. (Electronics and Communication) from Amity University, Jaipur, India in 2016. His research interests are Phased arrays: corporate-fed planar/conformal patch array with conventional/HIS-based ground plane, Active RCS Reduction in Phased Arrays, Estimation and control of RCS of Phased Arrays, EM design and Analysis of Multi-layered Radar Absorbing Structures (RAS), and millimeter wave antenna arrays.
