Developing Business Systems with CORBA guides developers, programmers, and software managers through the development of object-oriented, distributed business systems using CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture). CORBA allows vendors to provide compatible components for the implementation of distributed systems in heterogeneous environments involving multiple operating systems and programming languages. The authors use their experience as developers, trainers and mentors to provide a solid understanding of CORBA technology by examining a realistic example system.
