Jaroslaw Brodny, PhD, DSc (habilitation), a professor at the Silesian University of Technology, focuses on production and industrial engineering, advanced technical systems, and the digital transformation of industry, with particular emphasis on cyber-physical systems, industrial process modeling, and the integration of digital technologies with energy systems for his research activities. In recent years, his research has been strongly oriented towards Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0, combining a technological perspective with the analysis of resilience and safety of industrial and energy systems. He is the author or co-author of over 300 scientific publications (h-index: 42), and a co-inventor of numerous patented solutions. Since 2022, he has been ranked among the top 2% most-cited scientists (Stanford-Elsevier).

Magdalena Tutak, PhD, DSc (habilitation), a professor at the Silesian University of Technology, focuses on sustainability and resilience of industrial systems in the context of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0, with emphasis on energy security, environmental performance, and human-centric organization of production. She investigates
interactions between technological transformation, occupational safety, and workforce well-being, and the alignment of industrial practice with sustainability goals and policy frameworks. She is the author or co-author of over 170 scientific publications (h-index: 39). In this monograph, she leads the sustainability, safety, and policy-relevance dimensions, including green transition and just labor-market transformation. Since 2022, she has been ranked among the top 2% most-cited scientists (Stanford-Elsevier).
