Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Schmitt, born in 1970, studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and obtained his doctorate in tunneling. Prof. Schmitt gained many years of practical experience in various engineering companies in the fields of geotechnics, tunneling, and infrastructure planning. Since 2013, he has represented the research and teaching areas of geotechnics and tunneling at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and has published numerous scientific papers and textbooks.

教授、博士工程師尤爾根·施密特（Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Schmitt）於1970年出生，曾在布倫瑞克工業大學（Technical University of Braunschweig）學習土木工程，並獲得隧道工程博士學位。施密特教授在地質工程、隧道工程和基礎設施規劃等領域的多家工程公司擁有多年實務經驗。自2013年以來，他在達姆施塔特應用科技大學（Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences）的土木與環境工程系代表地質工程和隧道工程的研究與教學領域，並發表了多篇科學論文和教科書。
