Dr. Yulin Shao is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Hong Kong (HKU). He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Communications and Information Engineering (Hons.) from Xidian University, China, in 2013 and 2016, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2020. He was a Research Assistant with the Institute of Network Coding, a Visiting Scholar with the Research Laboratory of Electronics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Research Associate with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London (ICL), a Lecturer in Information Processing with the University of Exeter, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Macau. He was a Guest Lecturer at 5G Academy Italy and IEEE Information Theory Society Bangalore Chapter. Dr. Shao's research interests include coding and modulation, machine learning for communication systems, and stochastic control. He serves as a Series Editor of IEEE Communications Magazine in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Communications, an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications in the area of Machine Learning and Communications, and an Editor of IEEE Communications Letters. He received the Best Paper Awards at IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2023, and IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) 2024.

邵宇霖博士是香港大學（HKU）電機電子工程系的助理教授。他於2013年和2016年分別在中國西安電子科技大學獲得通訊與信息工程（榮譽）學士和碩士學位，並於2020年在香港中文大學（CUHK）獲得信息工程博士學位。他曾擔任網絡編碼研究所的研究助理、麻省理工學院（MIT）電子研究實驗室的訪問學者、倫敦帝國學院（ICL）電機電子工程系的研究助理、埃克塞特大學的信息處理講師，以及澳門大學的助理教授。他曾在意大利5G學院和IEEE信息理論學會班加羅爾分會擔任客座講師。
邵博士的研究興趣包括編碼與調變、通訊系統的機器學習以及隨機控制。他擔任IEEE通訊雜誌人工智慧與通訊數據科學領域的系列編輯、IEEE通訊學報機器學習與通訊領域的編輯，以及IEEE通訊信函的編輯。他在2023年IEEE國際通訊會議（ICC）和2024年IEEE無線通訊與網絡會議（WCNC）中獲得最佳論文獎。
