Toshiaki Tanaka, Ph.D., Physical Therapist(P.T.), Ergonomist) is Senior Program Advisor at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) and the Institute of Gerontology (IOG), The University of Tokyo. He received his M.A. in Physical Therapy from New York University (1992) and Ph.D. in Engineering from Hokkaido University (1998).

Dr. Tanaka has devoted his career to developing assistive and rehabilitative technologies that enhance mobility, balance, and daily living activities for older adults and people with disabilities. His research integrates kinesiology, rehabilitation science, ergonomics, and assistive engineering, leading to innovations such as wheelchair alert systems, telerehabilitation platforms, and multisensory balance training devices. He previously served as Professor at The University of Tokyo and Sapporo City University, and as a visiting researcher at MIT and EHESS (France-Japan Foundation).

田中俊明博士，物理治療師（P.T.）、人體工學專家，現任東京大學先進科學技術研究中心（RCAST）及老年學研究所（IOG）的高級計畫顧問。他於1992年在紐約大學獲得物理治療碩士學位，並於1998年在北海道大學獲得工程學博士學位。

田中博士致力於開發輔助及復健技術，以增強老年人和殘障人士的移動能力、平衡能力及日常生活活動。他的研究整合了運動學、復健科學、人體工學及輔助工程，促成了如輪椅警報系統、遠程復健平台及多感官平衡訓練設備等創新技術。他曾擔任東京大學及札幌市立大學的教授，並在麻省理工學院（MIT）及法日基金會（EHESS）擔任訪問研究員。
