Dr. Zongjin Li is a chair professor at the Macau University of Science and Technology. He earned his B.E. from Zhejiang University in 1982, and went on to complete both his M.S. and Ph.D. at Northwestern University in Chicago in 1990 and 1993, respectively. Dr. Li is an honorary member and fellow of the American Concrete Institute, an honorary chair of the China Group of RILEM, and the founding president of the ACI China Chapter. In his role as chief scientist, he has spearheaded a China Key National Basic Research Project (973) that significantly elevated concrete research in China to a global standard. Additionally, he established the prestigious Gordon Research Conference series "Advanced Materials for Sustainable Infrastructure Development" in 2014.

李宗進博士是澳門科技大學的講座教授。他於1982年獲得浙江大學的工程學士學位，並於1990年和1993年分別在芝加哥的西北大學完成碩士和博士學位。李博士是美國混凝土學會的榮譽會員和院士、中國RILEM小組的榮譽主席，以及ACI中國分會的創會會長。作為首席科學家，他主導了一項中國國家重點基礎研究項目（973），顯著提升了中國的混凝土研究至全球標準。此外，他於2014年創立了享有盛譽的戈登研究會議系列「可持續基礎設施發展的先進材料」。
