Sinter Plants: Evolution, Challenges, and Future Perspectives

Prof. Bankim Chandra Ray is a senior professor of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology Rourkela. He received his Ph.D. and master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research interests include polymer composite materials, phase transformations, heat treatments, and solidification. Prof. Ray's research centers on the impact of extreme environmental conditions on FRP composites. Currently, he is also the advisor to the TATA Steel New Materials Business and the editor of the Transactions of The Indian Institute of Metals (TIIM).

Dr Arghya Majumder is currently serving as a director, School of Mines and Metallurgy, Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol, a state-owned University, Govt of West Bengal. He obtained his Ph.D. from Jadavpur University. He had been instrumental in ensuring the quality of steel through stringent process control over raw material handling plant, sinter plant as well as Blast Furnace for more than two decades.

班基姆·昌德拉·雷教授是國立技術學院（National Institute of Technology Rourkela）冶金與材料工程系的資深教授。他在印度理工學院卡哈爾古爾（Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur）獲得了博士學位和碩士學位。他的研究興趣包括聚合物複合材料、相變化、熱處理和凝固。雷教授的研究重點是極端環境條件對纖維增強塑料（FRP）複合材料的影響。目前，他也是塔塔鋼鐵新材料業務的顧問，以及《印度金屬學會會刊》（Transactions of The Indian Institute of Metals, TIIM）的編輯。

阿爾吉亞·馬朱姆德博士目前擔任卡齊·納茲魯爾大學（Kazi Nazrul University）礦業與冶金學院的院長，該大學為西孟加拉邦政府所屬的國立大學。他在賈達夫普爾大學（Jadavpur University）獲得博士學位。在過去二十多年中，他在確保鋼鐵質量方面發揮了重要作用，通過對原材料處理廠、燒結廠以及高爐的嚴格過程控制。
