Jia Li is a master student at the School of Materials and Minerals Resources Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. First degree from Henan Institute of Technology, China. Specializing in high-performance supercapacitors and battery electrode materials. His current research is focused on the green reduction of graphene oxide to develop advanced active materials for use in supercapacitors. With a strong background in materials science, he excels in synthesizing and characterizing nanomaterials, particularly those associated with energy storage. He is skilled in using advanced techniques for materials analysis and is actively engaged in exploring environmentally friendly methods to enhance the efficiency and performance of energy storage devices. His work contributes to the development of sustainable and high-performance energy storage solutions.
Nor Azmira Salleh is a PhD student at the School of Materials and Minerals Resources Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, specializing in energy storage materials for supercapacitors and batteries. MSc is also from this university. Her current research focuses on recycling graphene through green methods and synthesis MXene based materials to be used as an active material in supercapacitors. An expert in materials science, particularly in energy storage and soldering materials, she is skilled in analyzing material properties and conducting failure analysis using advanced materials characterization equipment.
Dr. Norariza Ahmad is a Staff Researcher in R&D Chemistry in PETRONAS, holding a doctoral degree in Materials from the University of Manchester. With 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, she specializes in the synthesis, characterization, and application of graphene-related materials. Since 2017, she has been actively involved in graphene research, notably in developing graphene-based fuel as a combustion enhancer for PETRONAS' Formula 1 Project. Her significant contribution towards achieving Net Zero Carbon Emissions includes the development of the patented Coke to Graphene Technology, which is advancing towards scaling up and commercialization. Currently, she continues to innovate by transforming CO2 emissions from refinery operations into sustainable graphene materials.
Dr. Adil Alshoaibi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at King Faisal University, specializing in Inorganic Materials, with a particular emphasis on oxides that demonstrate unique electrical properties, such as ionic conductors and semiconductors. He earned his PhD from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Sheffield, UK. His interdisciplinary research focuses on the synthesis and crystal structure determination of new oxide materials, phase diagram analysis for doping mechanisms, and the measurement of electrical properties using impedance spectroscopy to study ceramics. Dr. Alshoaibi's work spans the fields of Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering, making significant contributions to advancements in materials science and electronic applications.
Dr. Soorathep Kheawhom is an Associate Professor at Chulalongkorn University, renowned for his expertise in battery research, particularly in the development and enhancement of flow batteries. His work primarily focuses on zinc-based batteries, including zinc-air, zinc-ion, and zinc-iodine systems, aimed at advancing sustainable energy storage technologies. With over 200 scientific publications, he has established a distinguished research career and is a sought-after speaker at international conferences, particularly in the domain of renewable energy solutions. Dr. Ahmad Azmin Mohamad is an associate professor for School of Materials & Mineral Resources Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia. He started this job in 2004. He obtained his doctoral degree in the field of Advanced Materials at Physics Department, Universiti Malaya. He studied alkaline solid polymer electrolytes for nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries for his PhD. His current research focuses on batteries, supercapacitors, solder alloy and corrosion. He had published more than 150 papers in high impact journals and listed as top 2% in the world on citation impact by Stanford University. His undergraduate and master's level courses cover crystallography, materials characterization, corrosion engineering, and many others. Dr. Azmin's work includes serving as an editor or board editor for multiple journals, among them the renowned International Journal of Energy Research (Wiley), which holds a Q1 ranking.
