K. Sripriyan is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the School of Artificial Intelligence at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus. He has 17 years of teaching and research experience, which includes academic positions at VIT and PSG College of Technology. He completed his Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from AC Government College of Engineering and Technology, and his Ph.D. in Welding Technology from Anna University, Chennai. Dr. Sripriyan has published 35 peer-reviewed papers in international and national journals and conferences. He is the inventor of four Indian granted patents, reflecting his active contributions to applied research and innovation. His research interests span Additive Manufacturing, Moving Heat Source Modeling, and Machine Learning. He has successfully completed two funded research projects sponsored by the ANRF and the Office of PSA, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Dr. Sripriyan is a lifetime member of the Institution of Engineers (IE) and has served as editor for several academic books published by Springer and CRC Press.
Dr. S. Balaguru is the Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering at VIT Bhopal. obtained his BE in Mechanical Engineering from Manonmanium Sundaranar University, M.Tech from IIT Madras and PhD from College of Engineering Guindy under Anna University. He carried out his postdoctoral research work at National University of Singapore. He has 28 years of experience in leading Engineering Institutions out of which he worked as Professor & HoD for 11 years. In 2019, he was invited to Kocaeli University, Turkey, under the Mevlana Mobility Programme with a grant as an International faculty to handle a technical course. He solely authored a best- selling textbook on Dynamics of Machines under the Cengage Learning. He brought out an edited book on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering under Springer publications. In 2008, his proposal fetched a grant of Rs. 8 lakhs under the MODROBS Scheme. He established an International chapter known as Material Advantage Student Chapter at VIT Bhopal as Faculty Advisor. He has guided 3 PhD scholars and 30 M.Tech projects. He published more than 60 papers in reputed journals. He presented 30 papers in the International conferences held in India and abroad. He has 5 patents and several book chapters to his credit. He has been a reviewer for many reputable journals. He is a Fellow as well as CEng. of the Institution of Engineers. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
Dr. Salunkhe Sachin is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. He obtained a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Aurangabad, India. He obtained his master of technology in CAD/CAM and Ph.D. from S.V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, India. His research focuses on the realm of press tool design, metal additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence applications in manufacturing, expert systems for die design, sheet metal forming, wear analysis, fatigue analysis, and high strain rate phenomena. He has authored over 120 research papers in highly regarded journals, conferences, and 05 books. He holds the position of an editor for esteemed journals. He has completed significant research projects funded by the Government of India and contributed to internationally funded projects valued at over $600,000. He is a consultant at M/s TATA Motor and M/s Mugad Fusion, Pvt. Ltd., located in Pune, India.
Dr. J. Paulo Davim, a highly accomplished full professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in mechanical engineering, specializing in manufacturing, materials, and industrial engineering, with a focus on machining, tribology, and surface engineering. Recognized globally, he has received prestigious awards such as the 2023 Contribution Award from the Korean Society for Precision Engineering and the 2022 Outstanding Reviewer Award from ASM International, USA. He has supervised numerous postdoc, Ph.D., and master's students and actively participated in funded research projects. As an editor-in-chief of several international journals, he has an extensive publication record, contributing to books, chapters, and articles. Recognized as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University, his influence expands beyond academia, with honorary professorships in China, India, and Spain, and roles as an evaluator for prestigious bodies like the ERC-European Research Council.
