Theoretical Study of Ethnogeography

Yanbo Guan was born in June 1967 in Xuanwei, Yunnan Province. He graduated from the Department of History of Yunnan University in 1989 and was assigned to the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in the same year. From March 2002 to March 2003, he was a visiting scholar in the International Development Department of Nagoya University, Japan. In July 2004, he received a doctor of history from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The main research direction is Chinese national history, national historical geography, especially the study of social history and culture of ethnic groups in southern China.

關彥博於1967年6月出生於雲南省宣威市。他於1989年畢業於雲南大學歷史系，並於同年被分配至中國社會科學院民族學與人類學研究所。2002年3月至2003年3月，他在日本名古屋大學國際發展系擔任訪問學者。2004年7月，他獲得中國社會科學院研究生院的歷史學博士學位。其主要研究方向為中國民族歷史、民族歷史地理，特別是對中國南方民族的社會歷史與文化的研究。
