作者簡介

Charles Oluwaseun Adetunji is a faculty member at the Microbiology Department, Faculty of Science, Edo State University Uzairue, Edo State, Nigeria, where he utilized biological techniques and microbial bioprocesses for sustainable development goals and agrarian revolution through quality teaching, research, and community development. He has served as Acting Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, Head of Department, Sub Dean, Chairman Grant Committee, Dean of Science, and is the Director of Research and Innovation at EDSU.He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology UK, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Young Academy, and Nigerian Society of Microbiology; a Visiting Professor at Precious Cornerstone University, Trinity University, and Federal University of Technology Abeokuta; adjunct Professor at University of the People; affiliate of the African Academy of Science; and external examiner and assessor to several global institutions including University of Johannesburg and Addis Ababa University.He coordinates the 1000 Scientific Trials Program International by Harvest Harmonics across 58 African countries. He has received awards and grants from CSIR India, DBT India, TWAS Italy, NPF Netherlands, Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation, Royal Academy of Engineering UK, TETFUND, and others, and is a consultant to the Government of the Republic of Serbia.He was listed in Stanford University's World Top 2% Scientists (2023) and has over 680 manuscripts, 60 books, 340 book chapters, many patents, Google Scholar i10-index 166, and publications including in Lancet. He is ranked number 1 prolific author by SciVal/SCOPUS and across Africa in Biological and Agricultural Sciences. He is a series editor with several international publishing house such as Taylor and Francis; reviewer for over 100 journals including Scientific Reports. He is President of the Nigerian Bioinformatics and Genomics Network Society, General Secretary of the Nigerian Young Academy, Assistant General Secretary and National Coordinator (South-West) of the Nigerian Society for Microbiology, Young Investigator Award Committee member (ASTMH USA), Vice-President and Nigerian Country Director of the Genetics Society of West Africa, Director of the International Affiliation and Training Centre for Environmental and Public Health, and Business Manager for the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria. He was appointed by AUDA-NEPAD CoE STI as senior expert and consultant for curriculum development in Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, Microbiome and Genome Editing in several African countries.

Beckley Ikhajiagbe is a Professor of Plant Ecophysiology and Environmental Biotechnology with more than two decades of experience in research and teaching. He serve to ultimately propel solutions in Plant Stress Coping Biology, Bioeconomy, Sustainable Agriculture, Pollution Assessment and Abatement Strategies, Bioremediation Technology, Gene-Environment Interactions, and Plant-Microbe Interactions. His primary research interest since undergraduate years has been Environmental Remediation Biotechnology, with more than half of my publications covering Plant-microbial interactions, plant enhancement biotechnology, remediation mechanisms, and bio-assessment of polluted environments. He have reported enhanced soil intrinsic bioremediation capability through solarisation and organic mulching, enhanced phytoremediation of heavy metals and polyaromatics using biosynthesized silver nanoparticles, and plant and microbial growth dynamics in oil-polluted soil.He has over 200 research publications in globally indexed journals, active participation in local and international conferences, and has supervised over 20 Ph.D.'s, 6 M.Phil., and more than 25 M.Sc. candidates. He has secured local research grants in rice improvement and bioremediation of oil-contaminated soils, and hosted at least eight IAESTE international exchange students. He received 2 research commendations from Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Abuja. He participate fully in Biotechnology Society of Nigeria, Nigeria Environmental Society, Nigerian Bioinformatics and Genomics Network, and the Botanical Society of Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Linnaean Society of London and a Fellow of the Institute of Policy Development Management.
