William D. Bygrave, MA, DPhil, MBA, DBA, is Professor Emeritus at Babson College, and also is a member of the Babson College Board of Trustees. Bygrave is founder of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), a worldwide consortium of leading universities studying the impact of entrepreneurship on country and worldwide economies.

Andrew Corbett is a Professor of Entrepre­neur­ship and serves as Chair of the Entrepreneurship Division. He is a Babson Research Scholar and Faculty Director for the John E. & Alice L. Butler Venture Accelerator at Babson College. Professor Corbett is also a consulting editor for the Journal of Management Studies, field editor for the Journal of Business Venturing, and co-editor of the Advances in Entrepreneurship, Firm Emergence, and Growth book series.As an educator Professor Corbett primarily focuses on graduate courses but he has taught across the entire curriculum. In addition to teaching feasibility, business planning, and marketing for entrepreneurs, his extensive, practical experience finds him consulting and teaching to corporate clients across the globe. Professor Corbett has been recognized for his excellence in teaching on both the undergraduate and graduate level on numerous occasions. In 2014, he was awarded the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence in Executive Education. Nationally, he has also been awarded the McGraw-Hill Innovation in Entrepreneurship Pedagogy Award by the Academy of Management.

Professor Corbett’s research examines behavioral aspects of the entrepreneurial process and the role of individuals within strategic renewal and innovations efforts within organizations. His research has appeared in scholarly outlets including Harvard Business Review; the Journal of Management Studies, the Journal of Business Venturing; Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal; Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice; and many others. His latest book, Academic Entrepreneurship: Creating an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, is the fourth book he has edited.

Professor Corbett serves the Babson community in numerous ways but most notably in the Butler Venture Accelerator where he assists with strategic direction and the mentoring of young entrepreneurs. He has led or been a member of over a dozen committees or task forces for the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management where he is currently the co-chair of the Doctoral Consortium.

Before coming to Babson, Professor Corbett was MBA Director, Associate Professor, and Faculty Director of the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship at the Lally School of Management & Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has also taught at the University of Colorado and Bentley University. Prior to working in academia he spent over a decade in marketing and strategic management positions within the media and publishing industries.

Andrew Zacharakis, BS, MBA, PhD, is The John H. Muller, Jr. Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College. Renowned for his expertise in entrepreneurship, he has been quoted in such publications as the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times. He has also held investment banking and venture capital positions at the Cambridge Companies.
