Hendrik Traub is a research associate at the Institute of Mechanics and Adaptronics at Technische Universität Braunschweig, where he is engaged in the Excellence Cluster for Sustainable and Energy Efficient Aviation. His research focuses on suction panels for hybrid laminar flow control, investigating porous printable cellular solids' mechanical and aerodynamic characteristics, including triply periodic minimal surfaces. Hendrik holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His previous research experience includes a master's thesis on the structural optimisation of aircraft wings at the German aerospace centre, a student research project on ice crystal icing, and a bachelor's thesis on the automated design of flexible wings at Airbus. Hendrik was also involved in publishing research findings in relevant scientific journals. He has supervised several student research projects and master's theses, contributing to the academic development of emerging engineers. As a PhD representative, he has actively participated in academic governance and contributed to programs for pupils as part of the cluster's ChangIng program.
