Albert Calbet is a marine biologist at the Institute of Marine Sciences (CSIC) in Barcelona, Spain, where his research focuses on the ecology and ecophysiology of zooplankton. Albert has published over 130 peer-reviewed articles and authored multiple outreach books, dedicated to making marine science accessible to the broader public. He has served as Deputy Director at the Institute of Marine Sciences, and his research has been supported by prestigious institutions.
